Again this year MAXAM Australia attended the annual Open Day for one of their most established clients, Boral’s Orange Grove Quarry in Western Australia.  MAXAM has been operating at this quarry since 2001 blasting hard rock to make gravel and aggregate for Boral.

Each year the quarry opens its doors to the local community to explain the importance of quarries and what goes on within them. Boral take the opportunity to strengthen their bond with the community by hosting a “sausage sizzle” and raffles to raise much needed funding for the local Orange Grove primary school and also for charity.  MAXAM Australia are proud to assist and have been attending the Open Day for the past 4 years to wave the flag and explain what we do. Tom Butterfield and Brent Buffham from our Western Australian operation were in attendance this year answering questions from curious members of the public and handing out MAXAM souvenirs. They gladly donated a prize for the raffle to raise money for the Quarry’s favourite charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Each year the Open Day gets bigger and better attended. MAXAM Australia look forward to participating in the Open Day and the Orange Grove Quarry Operations for many years to come.
