Diesel Fitter - Baldivis

We are a growing, fast paced and energised company operating in the expanding mining, civil construction and quarrying sectors.

You are an experienced trade qualified Diesel Fitter, who thrives on challenge and ready to join a dynamic organisation.  You will obtain an understanding of the maintenance requirements for our Manufacturing plants, fleet of MSU’s, light vehicles and other fixed plant. Your experience and "can do" attitude will be full utilised in maintaining and optimising our assets and uptime. This position is a permanent afternoon shift located in the Baldivis area.

Reporting to the Business Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Development of (preventative) maintenance planning and reporting systems
• Improvement and digitalisation of Machinery Data Systems and Critical Spares stock control
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance and machinery repairs.
• Communicate in a timely manner with Head Office to ensure data on maintenance items are recorded and lodged.
• Provide and obtain all necessary support and assistance to and from the Engineering and Maintenance department as required.
• Travel intrastate when required.Maintain and exceed the safety standards demanded by this industry and apply this to your working environment.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• At least 3- 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment, preferably with DG equipment.
• Experience to preferably include mechanical, low voltage electrical and hydraulic maintenance and repairs.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
• A HR licence is preferred but not essential.
• Good time management practices and flexibility to cope with the demands of the role.
