ANFO is a generic designation for the blend of porous prilled ammonium nitrate and diesel oil.The product is uniform, free flowing and artificially coloured through the use of pink dye added to the fuel.

MAXAM's ANFO is an oxygen-balanced mixture (5.7% FO/94.3% AN) which achieves the best explosive performance and the least post-blast toxic fumes. It is an ideal product for use in dry blast hole conditions.
